Born 25th of July 1941 in Saltash, Cornwall, UK (so NO, I didn't start WW2!) I was the eldest of 3 children of Jack & Cath Ashfield.
Dad sang in the local male voice choir & Mum played piano so it seemed my destiny was mapped out even before I knew about it!

Most of our family are musical in one way or another and who am I to break with family tradition.
At a very tender age I started playing the harmonica, and spent many happy hours sat on the loo because the accoustics were good in there! With the birth of Skiffle I was enthralled by guys like Lonnie Donnegan bashing away on a guitar and made up my mind that I wanted to play the guitar as well, and so began a very varied musical career ranging from the Skiffle, through Rock'n Roll, Big Band, Jazz and Country music. Anyway, enough rambling, below are details about the different pages on my site:

The MIDIFILES page details the equipment I use, both onstage, and when laying down my midifile tracks etc.
It's not rocket science, but to the uninformed, may seem to be but, hopefully, I've explained it reasonably.
